US Foods names Andrew Iacobucci senior EVP, field operations, chief commercial officer

Star executive, who held interim CEO role for eight months starting in May, recognized in new appointment

US Foods named Andrew Iacobucci senior executive vice president, field operations and chief commercial officer. Iacobucci will be responsible for the company’s sales, commercial excellence, and merchandising. In addition, he will oversee marketing, the US Foods Chef’Store chain, US Foods Direct, and MOXē teams.

Reporting to Dave Flitman, chief executive of US Foods, Iacobucci will be part of the broadline distributor’s Executive Leadership Team. He will also have responsibility for the broadline business P&L.

“I am thrilled that Andrew is taking on this important role as senior executive vice president, field operations and chief commercial officer,” said Flitman. “Andrew is a talented, strong and respected executive, as he proved throughout his leadership as Interim chief executive last year and most recently during my onboarding process. I look forward to partnering with Andrew in his new role to drive strong execution of our long-range plan.”

Part of US Foods management since 2017, the newly-named senior EVP, field operations and chief commercial officer most recently held the title of chief transition officer. In that role, he advised and supported Flitman during the onboarding process.

Iacobucci said, “US Foods is on a great trajectory, delivering significant value for its associates, customers and shareholders. I am eager to bring the learnings from my career experiences here at US Foods to this new role and excited to partner with Dave and the rest of the Executive Leadership Team to build on our momentum.”

Dave Flitman, US Foods

Looking back, he served as interim CEO of US Foods from May 2022 to January 2023. Before that sign of confidence in his capabilities, Iacobucci held the position of chief commercial officer. As such, he was charged with the company’s merchandising, pricing and local sales functions.

What’s more, Iacobucci previously served as chief merchandising officer. Before his tenure at US Foods, he held the role of EVP, merchandising for Ahold USA. Plus, he spent 10 years at Loblaw Companies Limited.

Iacobucci graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and the University of Toronto Law School.
