Limited-time offering comes in chicken, beef, steak options
Papa Johns’ Papadia line will expand with the addition of Doritos Cool Ranch Papadia. The new limited-time menu item comes in three options: chicken, beef or steak. The line extension brings a new mashup that embraces the flatbread-style Papadia platform.
Prepared to order, the new Papadia adopts the “cool” flavors of Doritos Cool Ranch, according to an announcement.
Papa Johns has seen success with the new Italian flatbread-style sandwich, inspired originally by the piadina. This innovative menu line first launched in 2020. The culinary team uses the original Papa Johns crust.
Kimberly Bean, Papa Johns VP of menu strategy and calendar planning, said, “At Papa Johns, flavor exploration puts us at the forefront of our menu innovation, which is why we couldn’t be more excited to bring together our Better Ingredients. Better Pizza. promise with the iconic flavor of Doritos Cool Ranch to create this limited-time Papadia.”
She added, “Our partnership with PepsiCo Foodservice allowed us to leverage the bold taste of Doritos Cool Ranch to reimagine a specialty seasoning for the Papadia, which offers new and current consumers the ultimate chip and sandwich experience and gives them a bold taste in every bite, so delicious you’ll wish you had thought of it first.”
The limited-time Papadia became available exclusively for Papa Rewards loyalty members May 1. The nationwide launch takes place Thursday, May 4.
In addition, the new menu item will be available through July 23, 2023, priced at just $7.99.
